The Saudi Patent Office has recently started accepting applications for industrial models and designs. The required documents for effecting the filing are: - Power of attorney legalized by to the Saudi Arabian Consulate. - Deed of assignment (if the applicant is not the inventor/designer himself) legalized up to the Saudi Arabian Consulate. - Certified copy of the priority document in case convention priority is claimed, which can be submitted within 3 months from the filing date. - Description of design or model in addition to the drawings which must be supplied on a CD without any description in plain words. - The products for which the industrial design will be used for. - Class of the industrial model or design according to the Locarno Classification.
