Clear Navigation : Good navigational tools should look the same and be consistent on EVERY page of the site. Navigation should indicate the location you have surfed.
Navigation should be designed such that all web site content is no more than three clicks from any page a visitor enters from.
Contact Information : Simple, yet clear contact info.
Feedback Forms : Your customers will help you improve your web site if you give them the opportunity. Respond promptly and consider their advice.
Specific Product or Services Content : The old Internet saying goes... Content is King. Since most Internet users are just researching, give them what they're looking for - and they'll buy from you. Show that you are credible.
Frequently Asked Questions : FAQ;s are useful tools and everybody understands what it is used for. Many people look for it and it is a great source of information for search engines to crawl.
Good Graphics : Total web page size, including graphics, should not be more than 100kb, 50 is target. Search Engines can't read graphics, so put keywords in HTML format.
Optional Elements Search Tool : On a site with a large quantity of information, the visitor will appreciate the ability to find what they are looking for without having to go through several pages of your web site.
News : Keep users up to date with your industry. Latest product news, etc.... Also useful when bad weather or emergencies occur.
