2. granting patent for 15 years (patent for designs is granted without conducting substantive examination)

Requirements

Design or Industrial Model Applications

1. A simply signed power of attorney
2. A description of the design in triplicate.
3. Three sets of the drawings using the metric system.
4. The name, address, and nationality of the applicant.
5. If convention priority is to be claimed, a copy of the home application must be submitted within twelve months of the filing date.

An application for an industrial design shall contain:

-         a request for the grant of a patent, stating the names of the design, the applicant(s) and the inventor(s), together with their domicile and place of business;

-         a description of the industrial design, including a list of its essential features;

-         a set of photographs of the manufactured article, the model or the design, constituting a full and detailed representation of the outward appearance of the article;

-         a representation of the series of components of the article, an assembly diagram or an overall view of the manufactured article, where necessary for the understanding of the subject matter of the industrial design;

-         Power of Attorney signed and sealed by the company.

It is possible to file multi-design application (one design with its variations).
