Summary

Regarding filing of Design cases in Bangladesh Patent & Design Office it is also informed that six colored photographs of each view of finished Article to which the Design has been applied to be submitted on Government Form-15 or 16 and Power of Attorney of Form-31 (like patent P/A) to be given local agent for work on behalf you. The Controller may, on the application of any person claiming to be the proprietor of any new or original design not previously published in Bangladesh. The application must be made in the prescribed manner and must be accompanied by the prescribed fees. The same design may be registered more that one class. The controller may, if he thinks fit, refuse to register any design presented to him for registration by any applicant (1) When a design is registered the registered proprietor of the design shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, have copyright in the design during five years from the date of registration. (2) Before the expiration of the said five years application for the extension of the period of copyright is made to the Controller in the prescribed manner the Controller shall on payment of the prescribed fee extend the period of copyright for a second period of five years and (3) then third period of five years.

Requirements

A.  9 clear photographs of each view ( plan, isomeric, top, bottom etc.). showing features of the design.

B.  Name, address and nationality of  Applicant.

C.  Letter of Authorization
