Requirements

1.     Name and address for the applicant (including telephone and facsimile number).

2.     Place of incorporation of applicant.

3.     8 clear representations of the design (half A4 size or 160mm for a photograph).

4.     Classification of the article to which the design applies (under the Locarno Agreement).

5.     State whether the design has been previously disclosed and the circumstances of disclosure.

6.     A Statement explaining the applicant's rights in relation to the design (if the applicant is not the designer).

7.     A statement of the features of the design for which novelty is claimed.

8.     If priority is claimed, a copy of the priority application has to be filed at the time of filing an application and a certificate issued by a competent authority of the relevant Paris Convention country or WTO member verifying details of the priority application must be filed within 3 months of the filing date of application.

9.     Details of any earlier design application or registration in Brunei for association with the new application, if applicable.

10.   Details of any earlier application, of the application is divided or derived from an earlier Brunei application.
